2020 Driver Education Program Information
ARPCA will be conducting three(3) Driver’s Education (DE) events in 2020. DE events provide you an opportunity to drive your car on challenging and iconic racing circuits in a safe, controlled manner accompanied by a ARPCA-certified driving instructor. Our DE events are all on the weekend with an invitation-only Lapping Day on Fridays for instructors and highly-experienced drivers.
Unsure if high-speed track driving is for you? We are offering a DE101 as well as AutoCrosses which are excellent introductions to performance driving techniques conducted in a much lower-speed environment.

Watkins Glen International (WGI) is located in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. Since the opening of the circuit in 1956, WGI has hosted innumerable sports-car racing series races including being the home of the United States Formula 1 Grand Prix from 1961 through 1980. WGI is truly an iconic road racing track that enjoys a well-deserved reputation as being one of the finest road circuits in the world. ARPCA events utilize the full 3.4 mile Grand Prix circuit.
Make plans to drive your car on the same track as all of the great road racers throughout history have!
Pitt Race Jul 31 – Aug 2, 2020
Pittsburgh International Race Complex (Pitt Race) is located just a 20-minute drive north of the PittsburghAirport and is easily accessed just off of the PA Turnpike. The circuit was expanded in 2015 and totally repaved in 2017. The circuit is now a challenging 2.75 miles in length. There is over 90 feet of elevation change and 19 turns that will challenge even the most experienced driver. If you have previously only driven the old circuit, you owe it to yourself to experience the new; you will not be disappointed.
Mid-Ohio Sep 11-13, 2020
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (Mid-Ohio) is located near Lexington, OH, just off of I-71 between Cleveland and Columbus. Like Watkins Glenn, this track has a long history of hosting many major road-racing series dating back to 1962. Although not know for its elevation changes like Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio has been described by many professional drivers as one of the most technical and challenging tracks in the world. It will definitely put your car control and track management skills to the test!
Mid-Ohio is beautiful in early September. Put this on your calendar now!
