When Western Pennsylvania gastronomes say, “Come for the Food, Stay for The View,” they’re never referring to the popular Barbara Walters ABC News daytime panel show. In most cases they’re echoing the slogan (and singing the praises) of the Allegheny Grille, in scenic Foxburg, PA.
If you’ve never treated yourself to comfortable, home-cooked food, served against a palette of color-spattered Fall river views, now is your chance! By popular demand, The Porsche Touring Crew has announced a return trip to ”The Grille,” (www.alleghenygrille.com/) slated for October 22.
The network of winding routes that connect Pittsburgh for the 45 minute trip to the rustic eatery are familiar to many P-Car pilots — and well-worth the challenge. Allegheny Grille Executive Chef Nathan Best has promised a varied menu featuring a wide variety of gourmet sandwiches and comfort food, including local favorite, the Willie Nelson Burger! A number of healthy options are also available.
The Crew will convene in the Grille’s parking lot between 11 and 11:30 am to meet old (and new) friends – then move on to lunch in the dining room or (if weather permits) on the deck. There’s no cost for the event; but for planning purposes, we ask everyone to register in advance either through the ARPCA web site, or directly with Motorsport.reg.
The Porsche Touring Crew is a casual ARPCA group, and all PCA members and their guests are welcome to join in PTC events. For more information, contact Tom Mueller (email@example.com), or Wayne Desbrow (firstname.lastname@example.org).
