Free Speedway Event – Cancelled
Unfortunately, due to several ongoing issues this event has been cancelled.
ARPCA member Jeff Carey has announced he is inviting ARPCA members and their guests to sample a racing session at nearby Jennerstown Speedway Saturday, July 18th.
The Jennerstown Speedway, located on Rt. 30, just southwest of Ligonier, is one of the oldest short-track facilities in the United States and has undergone a series of significant upgrades in recent years including installation of a $350,000 polymer-based racing surface. Jennerstown is now considered a state-of-the-art motorsports complex.
The event will be complimentary to ARPCA members, and will include parking in a set-aside area for club vehicles. Gates will open at 4 pm; NASCAR-style racing in five classes will begin at 6 pm and conclude between 9:30 and 10:00. ARPCA members can also take a guided tour of the pit area, beginning at both 4:15 and 5:15, and will seated in a dedicated section of the track’s bleachers. Picnic food will be available from a number of vendors at the track.
Interested ARPCA members need to access Motorsport.reg and register for the event before July 16.
NOTE: ARPCA’s primary interest continues to be the health and safety of its members. Neither masks nor social distancing are required by Jennerstown Speedway or its owners. However, ARPCA encourages their use, as health precautions remain the responsibility of each attendee.
