Mid April 2023

What do you buy for the Porsche enthusiast who has everything?  Well, if money is no object apparently you can buy a custom slot car set hidden under the body of a Porsche 917K. Don’t worry it’s not just some boring oval electric car track, it’s a miniature replica of Circuit de la Sarthe as seen in the Steve McQueen film Le Mans. You can check it out here on Jalopnik.com.   If toy cars are less your market, the PCA has announced a 75th anniversary Porsche auction (more information below.) You can also read up on the “Palmen Barnfind Collection” a recently uncovered trove of 230 classic cars going up for action.  I skimmed the list and only saw one Porsche but there are plenty of finds to appreciate.

If a trip to Atlanta or the Netherlands for car shopping isn’t in your plans.  There’s plenty to do closer to home details below.

Here’s to seeing you out there,

Shawn Cressler – Web Support

On April 25, ARPCA’s Porsche Touring Crew plans to open the driving season “their way” with a drive and dine feast at DeNunzio’s Chop House and Sinatra Bar (www.denunziosrestaurant/latrobe).  The “Chairman’s” namesake eatery is a well-known destination throughout Westmoreland County offering great food seasoned with a birds-eye view of the main runway at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport.Click here to learn more
