Mid February 2024

Welcome to yet another pot hole season.  This annual period of  seesawing temperatures from sub-freezing to picnic weather in less than twenty-four hours has a deleterious impact on our highways, byways, driveways, and even sidewalks. But where else can you experience the novelty of all four seasons before dinner?  These relentless thermal variations pry loose chunks of precious driving surfaces and turn even the most solid concrete into gravel.  Save your shocks, guard your rims and keep your eyes on the road out there.

While you are gingerly navigating the moonscape of our local roads, we have a few destinations you might enjoy.  You can meet with new members at the Edgewood Country Club, relax with the Porsche Touring Crew at Angelo’s and for the Women of ARPCA, you can create custom cosmetics or gather at Sewickley Porsche for a meet and greet.  More details below.  If you attend any of the event’s, feel free to take and submit a picture or two or three at ARPCA.com.  The more of our members we can highlight on ARPCA.com, the better.

Best Regards,

Shawn Cressler – Web Support. Sharon Lunney – Newsletter Editor.

Porsche Touring Crew – Angelo’s – Tuesday, February 27th

The Porsche Touring Crew (PTC) starts the 2024 Tuesday lunch season with our mid-winter lunch.  The diehard Porsche fans with sports cars and those with SUV’s will be able to take their cars out, or bring whatever you want, as we begin the year with a return to Angelo’s restaurant in Washington PA.  Many of the PTC members will remember the memorable lunch we had at Angelo’s in 2022.  This well-known and highly recommended restaurant  has been a fixture in Washington since its founding in 1939 on Chestnut Street.  It has moved out of town to a shopping district, but is still owned by the same family.  Put February 27th on your calendar and join us at noon for lunch.  If you can’t make that date check the calendar for locations starting in April for PTC lunches on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
