Greetings and Salutations, The Porsche 911 Turbo is turning 50. With a reported 0 to 60mph in 2.6 seconds, it seems that the 911 Turbo is not slowing down, even for its golden anniversary. Porsche is offering a special edition variant 911 Turbo and a custom chronograph to commemorate the occasion. Only 1,974 (clever marketing there) timepieces are available for order.  Porsche at the Lot – August 17th
Start your weekend at the Lot at Edgewater. The Lot is a full-service restaurant that offers a wide menu selection including old favorites like Belgian waffles, house-cured bacon steak, made-to-order omelets as well as specialties such as avocado toast with pepper jam and a fried egg. Shine up your favorite Porsche, come to the Lot, and enjoy some time with your favorite ARPCA members.  ** Newly Added** Pittsburgh Cars ‘N’ Coffee – Porsche Day – August 24th
Pittsburgh Cars ‘N’ Coffee (PGHCNC) will welcome ARPCA as Porsche will be the featured vehicle for the August 24th meet. The main parking area will be completely reserved for Porsche-only vehicles. You are welcome to bring your non-Porsche sports cars but ask that you do not park in the main coned-off area. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation so that we may park the featured vehicles together. No registration is required. There is no cost to participate. Generoasta parking area (adjacent to Off The Hook)

 Porsche Touring Crew – Walnut Grill (Wexford Location) – August 27th
We are happy to have the August lunch at the Wexford Walnut Grill. Join us for the same good food and service we expect at all our lunches. Register on MSR in advance so we can let the restaurant properly plan for us. Come early and look for the Porsche vehicles in the parking lot and gather around the cars for a time of sharing before lunch which will be served at noon. |

Porsche at the Lot – September 14th There is no cost for this event and registration is not necessary. Just show up with your favorite Porsche and share some coffee, breakfast, and camaraderie with your fellow ARPCA members.  Porsche Touring Crew – Dutch’s at Silver Tree – September 24th
Join the Porsche Touring Crew for a beautiful fall drive to Oakland, MD. Luncheon attendees will convene there at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Lunch will be served at noon. The Porsche Touring Crew is an ARPCA social group, and is open to both ARPCA members and guests. Meals are not billed in advance, attendees pay for their own lunch at the event We will collect for our 2024 charity, Tunnel to Towers, with a contribution at the event.  Rundschau Cover Photo ContestThe Rundschau Cover Photo Contest is back! Submissions must be at least 1 megapixel, well exposed, in focus, and have subject matter related to Porsche, ARPCA or ARPCA Members. Selected photo will appear on cover of Rundschau. If a child appears in a photograph, permission from the child’s parent to use image must accompany photo.

Rundschau’s member-only classified ad section, The Mart, is now available under its own tab on ARPCA.com. To place a listing, send the information, including a 1 megapixel or higher photo of the item to be listed to editor@arpca.com. The ad will appear in the next issue of Rundschau, but should appear on the website within a week. There will be some lag between notification and de-listing so please notify the editor as soon as an item is no longer for sale.
