Esteemed Members of the ARPCA, As Summer winds down and September ushers in cooler breezes and the promise of Autumn, we have a lot to look forward to. In previous year’s newsletters mid-September seems to have been when we shared information about fall foliage maps. However, this year it seems the ongoing 80 degree day time temperatures have pushed the turning of leaves back. All my favored resources are reporting no appreciable changes in color. I will likely be able to share more colorful news in October, finger crossed. I remain hopeful that things will be lovely for Das Herbstfahrt on October 12th and the Porsche Touring Crew’s visit to Foxburg on October 22nd. While we’re in a Fall state of mind, Sewickley Porsche has announced an Oktoberfest event at their showroom, details below. Oddly, there wasn’t any mention of Lederhosen or Dirndl in the press release, which means I had mine dry cleaned for no reason.

 Porsche Touring Crew – Dutch’s at Silver Tree – September 24th
Join the Porsche Touring Crew for a beautiful fall drive to Oakland, MD. Luncheon attendees will convene there at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Lunch will be served at noon. The Porsche Touring Crew is an ARPCA social group, and is open to both ARPCA members and guests. Meals are not billed in advance, attendees pay for their own lunch at the event We will collect for our 2024 charity, Tunnel to Towers, with a contribution at the event.  Women of ARPCA – Mangia Italiana! – October 2nd
Chef Andrew Garbarino will demonstrate a number of classic Italian dishes and then we will sit down and enjoy a family style Southern Italian dinner. This is a BYOB, 21 years and older, Women only event. Space is limited to 25 attendees. |

 Porsche at the Lot – October 12th
No pre-registration, no cost, just fun. Stop by the Lot at Edgewater on Saturday morning to have some coffee, some breakfast, and some good times with ARPCA members. Parking space for Porsches has been reserved along the Allegheny Avenue (Railroad Side) of the restaurant.

Das Herbstfahrt 2024 (The Autumn Ride) – October 12th
It’s back!! Das Herbstfahrt, ARPCA’s fall drive. 275+ miles of an all-day drive to enjoy the unique characteristics of our beloved Porsches! Lots of backwoods roads, rolling farmland and twisties to enjoy. We will be departing from the Latrobe airport heading southeast, then northeast for more scenic driving and then following some classic river beds, notorious for twisting and turning.

Porsche Touring Crew – Allegheny Grille – October 22nd Join the Porsche Touring Crew for a beautiful Fall drive to the Allegheny Grille in Foxburg, PA.  Rundschau Cover Photo ContestThe Rundschau Cover Photo Contest is back! Submissions must be at least 1 megapixel, well exposed, in focus, and have subject matter related to Porsche, ARPCA or ARPCA Members. Selected photo will appear on cover of Rundschau. If a child appears in a photograph, permission from the child’s parent to use image must accompany photo.

Rundschau’s member-only classified ad section, The Mart, is now available under its own tab on ARPCA.com. To place a listing, send the information, including a 1 megapixel or higher photo of the item to be listed to editor@arpca.com. The ad will appear in the next issue of Rundschau, but should appear on the website within a week. There will be some lag between notification and de-listing so please notify the editor as soon as an item is no longer for sale.
