With 2024 winding down many people are looking back and realizing they made any number of New Year’s resolutions. Speaking for myself I have still not managed to learn how to speak Klingon. I’m sure we all have resolutions we’ve backburnered. Unfortunately, if you wanted to set a world record for milage on a 911, you have some very stiff competition. The current record is held by a Canadian with 800,000 miles on his Porsche. That’s enough for one round trip to the moon (approximately 478,000 miles) and nearly 13 trips around the Earth at the equator (24,902 miles per lap.) It took him a lifetime so this might need to be more of a life goal than a New Year’s resolution. You can read all about it here. In the meantime, I’m checking my local book store for a Klingon to English dictionary, 2025 is definitely the year.

ARPCA Holiday Party 2024 – November 16th

Welcome the holiday season with our Porsche family in the Main Dining Room of the historic Grand Concourse restaurant on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Occupying the former Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Station, the Grand Concourse represents an unmatched dining experience and a historical excursion. Constructed in 1901 and still possessing the original look, the station’s accents of brass, marble, and mahogany create Pittsburgh’s most unique dining experience, all under the splendor of the majestic stained-glass cathedral roof.

Porsche Touring Crew – Dinner at Franco’s – December 10th

Join the Porsche Touring Crew at Franco’s Trattoria for an early dinner on December 10th, attendees will gather 4:00 to 4:45 pm for an early dinner to be served at 5:00 pm. The Porsche Touring Crew is an ARPCA social group, and is open to both ARPCA members and guests. Attendees pay for their own dinner at the event. We will have a voluntary collection for our 2024 charity, Tunnel to Towers, at the event.

Rundschau Cover Photo Contest

The Rundschau Cover Photo Contest is back! Submissions must be at least 1 megapixel, well exposed, in focus, and have subject matter related to Porsche, ARPCA or ARPCA Members. Selected photo will appear on cover of Rundschau. If a child appears in a photograph, permission from the child’s parent to use image must accompany photo.

To place a listing, send the information, including a 1 megapixel or higher photo of the item to be listed to editor@arpca.com. The ad will appear in the next issue of Rundschau, but should appear on the website within a week. There will be some lag between notification and de-listing so please notify the editor as soon as an item is no longer for sale. You should also email the editor each month if you wish to have your listing continue.
