Greetings and Salutations! As summer winds down, the ARPCA is barreling full throttle into September with events that will appeal to every kind of Porsche enthusiast—from vintage car fans and track addicts to wine lovers and even weekend drivers. We kick off this month with our return to Watkins Glen International, September 4–7, where members can enjoy scenic lodging at Glenora Winery or the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel and dive into the excitement of the Watkins Glen Gran Prix Festival. Back in Pittsburgh, the Women of ARPCA will raise a glass at Barsotti Wines on September 10, where celebrated women winemakers and vineyard owners take the spotlight in a curated tasting experience paired with gourmet bites. Just days later, we return to the track for the Mid-Ohio HPDE, September 12–14, an opportunity for drivers of all experience levels to sharpen their skills on one of America’s most celebrated road courses. If social events are more your speed, the ARPCA is also making an appearance at Pittsburgh Cars ‘N’ Coffee on September 20, and members are encouraged to register now for Porsches in the Park 2025, also taking place September 20 in Ann Arbor, Michigan if you fancy a drive out west. The following week, the Porsche Touring Crew heads to Oakland, MD for lunch at Firewater Kitchen and Bar on September 23, and the ever-popular Porsche at the Lot on September 27 for a casual morning of coffee, cars, and camaraderie. That’s just September! October is already revving up with touring drives, seasonal dinners, monthly meetings, and track events—including a new Grand Tour of the Ohio Valley, Das Herbstfahrt, and laps at VIR with NNJR-PCA. Whether you’re zipping around the track, touring, tasting, or just swapping tall P’car tales over brunch, there’s something for everyone in this month’s calendar. Watkins Glen Gran Prix Festival – Our 4-day trek to central New York allows us to enjoy 3 nights lodging at the Glenora Winery (or the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel on Seneca Lake for exceeded capacity) and 2 days enjoying the Watkins Glen Gran Prix Festival. With lots of local sights, museums, tours, vintage car show and festival events, you’ll find your days completely full! Women in Wine at Barsotti Wines – September 10th
The Women of ARPCA will be treated to a wine tasting celebrating Women Winemakers and Vineyard Owners at Barsotti Wines in the Strip District. Chef/Owner Jason, will be walking us through several specially selected wines with detailed tasting notes. He will also be creating light hors d’oeuvres to accompany the wines. The wines served will be available for purchase that evening. Barsotti Wines has been providing their expertise to restaurateurs and wine connoisseurs in the area for over thirty years, connecting lovers of wines to fine vintages from all over the world. This is a Women Member only event and attendees must be 21 years of age. Cost is $45 per person. |
 ARPCA Mid – Ohio – September 12th – 14th
The ARPCA HPDE at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course offers a supportive weekend driving school for all skill levels, with in-car instruction for beginners and up to two hours of track time daily. No Porsche is required to participate. An optional Friday Lapping Day is available for approved advanced drivers and instructors, with no instruction provided. Instructors must register and may require verification. Social events include a Friday Track Tour and a Saturday evening gathering at 1285 Winery with complimentary food and a cash bar, enhancing the camaraderie and experience of this scenic and challenging 2.4-mile circuit. |
ARPCA @ Pittsburgh Cars ‘N’ Coffee – September 20th
Pittsburgh Cars ‘N’ Coffee, founded in 2010, is a non-profit social club dedicated to enthusiasts of exotic and modern performance cars in Western Pennsylvania. Regular bi-weekly meets are held at Generoasta Coffee in Warrendale. These meets are intended for participants only and require attendees to bring a unique vehicle, as they are not open to spectators. Events are held rain or shine, although turnout may vary with weather conditions. |
Porsches in the Park 2025 – September 20th
Registration is now open for Porsches in the Park 2025, happening Saturday, September 20 at German Park in Ann Arbor, MI. Join PCA members for a day of Porsche activities including a TSD Rally, scenic driving tours, People’s Choice Awards, catered BBQ dinner, live music, and socializing. The event kicks off after Ann Arbor Cars & Coffee. Gates open at 3:00 PM, with activities running through the evening. Early bird pricing is $60/person before August 15. Sponsored by Porsche Ann Arbor, this year’s event moves to September for cooler weather and stunning fall scenery. Register now to secure your spot!

Porsche Touring Crew – Firewater Kitchen and Bar – September 23rd
Join the Porsche Touring Crew on September 23, 2025, for a scenic summer drive to Firewater Kitchen and Bar in Oakland, MD. Attendees will gather for socializing in the parking lot before being seated for lunch at noon. This ARPCA social group welcomes both members and guests, with all participants paying for their own meals. Non-club members may attend as guests, and registration is available through MotorsportsReg.com. A voluntary donation, collected via the “Oil Can,” will support the Porsche Touring Crew’s 2025 charity, The Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank. |
Porsche at the Lot – September 27th
The Lot at Edgewater is a full-service restaurant that offers a wide menu selection including traditional favorites like Belgian waffles, house-cured bacon steak, made-to-order omelets as well as specialties such as avocado toast with pepper jam and a fried egg. Parking space for Porsches has been reserved along the Allegheny Avenue (Railroad Side) of the restaurant. There is no cost for this event and registration is not necessary. Just show up with your favorite Porsche and share some coffee, breakfast, and camaraderie with your fellow ARPCA members. Event info also available on MSR |
The Grand Tour of the Ohio Valley – October 1st -5th

The tour will include an exciting, informative schedule of events exploring the Ohio River Valley, shopping, meals, and other points of interest.” |
Das Herbstfahrt 2025 – October 4th
This event has changed to a seasonal dinner, catered by Max’s Allegheny Tavern. We’ll be starting at the Olive Garden at the Pittsburgh Mills in Tarentum, driving northeast on Route 28 passing through Dubois jumping onto I-80 to get to some twisty back roads. We’ll stop in St Mary’s for lunch at Rick’s Doughboys for a pizza lunch and enjoy his collection of muscle cars. Jumping back onto the road, we’ll wind our way back through Brady’s Bend down to Wexford… |

Women of ARPCA – Let’s Drive! – October 18th
Ladies it is time to get behind the wheel of your P’car and Let’s Drive to Beachwood Place Mall to do some shopping! This is a Porsche car only, LADIES DRIVE event. Right seat passengers and back seat drivers of either sex are welcome, but this is a Ladies Drive event. This will be a casual drive. The Mall is approximately a two-hour drive. |
 VIRginia International Raceway With NNJR-PCA – October 24th – 26th
Northern NJ PCA has invited members of the ARPCA to attend an HPDE event at Virginia International Raceway. Come join NNJR for three great days at the Virginia International Raceway, this is one of the premier events on the PCA DE calendar. NNJR has the largest and longest-running HPDE program in North America, this is our 55th year of Safe, Serious, Fun. We will drive the full course all three days, open to all drivers and all marques except open-wheeled cars. All cars must have integrated fenders. Non-PCA welcome. |
Porsche Touring Crew –Allegehney Grille – October 28th
Join the Porsche Touring Crew for a scenic drive to the Allegheny Grille in Foxburg, PA, with lunch at noon on October 28, 2025. Open to ARPCA members and guests, attendees pay for their own meals. Registration is via MotorsportsReg.com and closes October 24, 2024. A voluntary donation will support the 2025 PTC charity, The Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank. |

The Rundschau Cover Photo Contest is back! Submissions must be at least 1 megapixel, well exposed, in focus, and have subject matter related to Porsche, ARPCA or ARPCA Members. Selected photo will appear on cover of Rundschau. If a child appears in a photograph, permission from the child’s parent to use image must accompany photo.

To place a listing, send the information, including a 1 megapixel or higher photo of the item to be listed to editor@arpca.com.
