Visiting the Crane Room in New Castle
We begin the spring driving by getting Porsche cars that were stored for the winter unplugged from the trickle charger, uncovered, and otherwise ready for driving daily. In April the Touring Crew offers the chance to drive north to New Castle, PA. Mark and Tom, your intrepid leaders, have picked an interesting and historic location. The main room has the look and feel of an old steel mill crane bay that is now the featured dining area. The Crane Room area is flanked by a bar featuring a selection of 35 beers and private dining. There is a back deck that we might use depending on the weather.
The food selection is typical American fare. Attendees will order from the menu. The PTC lunch at the Crane Room requires MSR registration, but there will be no billing through MSR. We will have individual bills. The main entrance is in the front, with other specialty restaurants with side and back entrances to the building. Parking is limited in front, however a large lot is available behind the building.
This year again we plan to continue the voluntary charity contribution by putting your contribution into the “oil” can. The Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank is the charity for all of 2025 PTC events and is a repeat of a previous selection. We appreciated the feedback and suggestions from our members of possible charities and made this selection based on need and general interest.
Plan your drive to New Castle to enjoy interstate 376, US 19, or a variety of back roads.
Mahlzeit!
Registration closes on April 18th, 2025 at noon.
