PTC, Bucs Continue Challenging Seasons
…But Pause to Celebrate Babe’s May Blasts
As most hardcore ‘Burgh Baseball buffs know, May 25, 1917 is the date Babe Ruth sent three home runs – the final three of his career – into orbit outside Forbes Field. …And to celebrate that historic event, and particularly the Pirates’ 11-7 comeback win, the Porsche Touring Crew plans to launch its own May 25th drive – this time to the Walnut Grill Wexford .
But instead of ordering stadium hotdogs and a cold Iron at the ball yard, PTCr’s will be feasting on the Grill’s varied menu, featuring a host of seasonal entrees, sandwiches and creative salads. The eatery’s contemporary “Bowl” dishes – which include Korean BBQ Shrimp or Salmon, Caramelized Walnut and a heart-healthy Harvest option – balance-off their traditional Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich. Of course, the restaurant can complement any selection with a wide selection of draft beer and fine wines. All in all, a real “round-tripper” line-up!
We plan to gather in dedicated PTC parking at the Walnut Grill Wexford lot between 11:00 and 11:30 – then adjourn to our tables on a semi-open patio (weather permitting) just before Noon. For

more information contact Tom Mueller (ermtcm@verizon.net), or Wayne Desbrow (wdesbrow@zoominternet.net). The Porsche Touring Crew is an informal ARPCA group that hosts luncheon and driving events, and is always looking for new and interesting dining destinations
PLEASE NOTE: As most of you know APRCA has a long history of supporting charities. A decision was recently reached to require PTC participants to support a worthwhile nonprofit organization, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS) has been selected as the recipient of this year’s support.
As a result, for all 2021 PTC events, participants must register themselves and any guests in advance by navigating to Motorsportreg.com. As you register you will be required to donate $5.00 per person, which will be immediately billed through MSR and is not refundable. Guests, spouses, friends, etc., are always welcome but must also be registered through MSR prior to each event.
If you have an issue with this requirement, or with completing your registration in MSR please contact Tom Mueller at ermtcm@verizon.net.
As the health and well-being of all members is of utmost importance, face coverings and social distancing will be required, outside and indoors, except when PTCr’s are seated at their tables. The Walnut Grill observes all safety and health requirements mandated by the CDC and Allegheny County.
