Titlow Tavern and Grille
Uniontown Pa
May 27, 2025
H G Wells came to me in a dream and in this dream, in his Time Machine, he transported me back 100 years to a grill room definitely out of the last century. Maybe more. Perfectly preserved, mostly. Story follows!
I found the Titlow Tavern and Grill in the middle of downtown Uniontown Pa after a somewhat exhausting Google search.
I was just thinking, the “Crew” has been traveling north quite a bit so maybe a southern destination!
What a pleasant surprise this was! The outside of the building is somewhat dated but the inside is amazing! I was honestly shocked. It’s a 1900s pub and restaurant and, with a few slightly different choices of ambiance. I couldn’t find the spittoon but everything else was there. Including the old phones!
A small display shows the history and the period from which this business survived and I suppose shots of the original owners. Pittsburgh and Uniontown at the turn of the last century.
In as much as it was noon, the decision came down to what we were having for lunch. Both my exploring buddy and I being pilots and also like minded, the call was for a pair of Rubin Sandwiches, one no Russian Dressing. Cold Coke a Cola topped it off, although I must say there were a ton of other choices. The sandwiches were delicious!
The decision was made to share this place with The Porsche Touring Crew so here we go!
The initial reservation is for 30 so sign up early for your spot. There’s a fair-sized parking lot near the entrance. More parking across the street. I think that this will be fun!
See you soon!
